This is a translation. Roaden is run from Spain and the Spanish version of this document is the one that is legally binding. It is at /condiciones. This English text is here so it can be read, and if the two ever disagree, the Spanish one is the one that counts.
Fourteen free days before anything is charged. These are the terms of Roaden's subscription. You accept them when you take it out, and nothing is charged until the fourteen days are over: nobody starts paying by doing nothing.

To subscribe you must be of legal age and able to do so. If you subscribe as a consumer, Spanish Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007 (TRLGDCU) applies to you and you keep every right it gives you.
A subscription to Roaden: planning routes with our own routing engine, keeping them, publishing them, putting photographs on them, downloading them as GPX and seeing other people's.
It is digital content supplied continuously while the subscription is active. There is nothing physical and nothing to ship.
Every subscription starts with fourteen free days. The card is asked for at sign-up, but nothing is charged during those fourteen days. Cancel before they end and you pay nothing at all.
After the fourteen days the first period is charged and the subscription runs normally. We email you before the first payment.
| Trial | 14 days free, on both plans. Nothing is charged during that time. |
|---|---|
| Monthly | €3.99 a month, VAT included, from day 15. Charged in advance each month and renews by itself until you cancel. |
| Yearly | €29.90 a year, VAT included — €2.49 a month, from day 15. Charged in advance once and renews by itself each year until you cancel. |
| Payment method | Card, through Stripe |
The final price may vary depending on your country, your currency, the taxes that apply to you and the store you subscribe from, so it may not match the one above exactly. The price shown to you before you confirm the purchase is the one you are charged.
Before every yearly renewal we email you, at least 15 days ahead, saying what will be charged and when. Nobody should find out about a year's renewal from their bank statement.
We do not keep your card. The payment is processed by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. (Ireland) and the card details travel to Stripe, not to us. All we know is whether a payment went through.
If a payment fails we will retry it and tell you. If it still cannot be taken, the subscription is suspended: your routes are not deleted, but you stop being able to use the service until it is sorted out.
If the price changes, we will tell you at least 30 days in advance and you can cancel before it applies. A price change never applies to a period already paid for.
Whenever you like and without explaining yourself, by writing to info@roaden.app or from your profile once that option exists. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for: you keep the service until then and you are not charged again. On the yearly plan that means until the year you paid for runs out.
You can move from monthly to yearly, or the other way round, by writing to us. The change applies at the next renewal, without losing what you have already paid.
When you cancel you can download all your routes as GPX. If you also want us to delete the account and everything in it, say so and we will.
As a consumer you have 14 calendar days to withdraw without justifying anything and without penalty.
With the fourteen free days, that right stops being an awkward question: during that time nothing has been charged to you, so cancelling is simply cancelling. There is no money to return and no box to tick giving anything up.
Article 103.m TRLGDCU would let us ask you to give up your withdrawal right in exchange for starting immediately. We do not do that, and it is deliberate: we would rather you had the full two weeks and decided afterwards.
Write to info@roaden.app within the following 14 days. We refund what was charged within 14 days at most of it reaching us, by the same means you paid with.
After each payment we email you the invoice. If you need it made out to a company, with its tax number, tell us before the first payment.
Write to us first at info@roaden.app: we answer any complaint within 30 days at most, and normally much sooner.
If you are not satisfied, you can go to the European online dispute resolution platform or to the consumer authorities. Spanish law applies and, if you are a consumer, the courts where you live.
Paying changes nothing of what the Terms of use say about routes: we still take no responsibility for them, neither the ones Roaden calculates nor the ones somebody else publishes. The riding is still yours.
